When the owners of this bungalow, built around a hundred years ago, approached Ian Moore Architects they were looking for a larger living space as well as better bedrooms for their children. Ian's approach was spread across three main areas: refresh the old, remove the existing extension and park a new rectangular, two storey box. The outcome showcases two distinct external elements which have a seamless internal connection with no separation.

The key features of the newly added box are a crisp white theme throughout which is accentuated by the use of natural sunlight filtering throughout. This is achieved in part by the use of Alspec® ProGlide® High Performance Sliding Doors in the ground floor and McArthur 150mm framing in the bedrooms.
