When designing the Aspect tower in relation to the windows and doors it was necessary to ensure the systems would handle the extreme wind loads of the area while not compromising it's location by allowing as much visibility to the cityscape as possible. For all sliding doors opening out to balconies the ALSPEC High Performance Commercial Door came in to its own. With openings up to 2.8mtr high with 1.5mtr wide panels for maximum views, numerous interlock combinations were used to cope with the wind pressures placed on the building at any level. When fixed windows were required the Hunter 150mm Flush Glazed Framing was chosen for it's strength, straight lines and superior weathering. The ability to fully integrate with the ALSPEC 50mm Commercial Awning Window on designated areas of the building was a another key contributor for utilising this suite. Dulux Duratec Citi Pearl was the chosen powdercoat for this project.
