Alspec windows and door framing solutions create an impressive exterior for this entertainment hub
Glass frontages of cinematic proportions welcome visitors to the recently completed Reading movie screening complex in Newmarket, Brisbane. A selection of Alspec’s window and door framing solutions have been used in the development to create an impressive exterior to the exciting new entertainment hub. Completed in December 2017, the complex sees eight cinemas, a dining precinct, shops and parking facilities added to the existing Newmarket Village shopping centre.
The new buildings’ exterior facades and interior spaces have been constructed utilising a combination of McArthur Centre Pocket Framing, Hunter Evo 101.6mm and 150mm Single Glazed Flush Framing window solutions, integrated with Swan Evo doors. The Hunter Evo window framing products, with their flush glazed appearance, have delivered sharp unbroken lines to the building’s variety of spaces. The McArthur Centre Pocket Framing System was the ideal product for the larger expanses of the exterior faces. The system provides a cleaner look and has security benefits, due to the glass being slid into the “pocket” provided by the aluminium frame.
Swan Evo doors, which also utilise centre pocket glazing, are a high performance solution specifically designed for the heavy demands of the commercial environment. Adaptable for a wide range of situations, the Swan Evo door can be used in hinged, pivoted or sliding configurations, making them a versatile solution to meet the various needs of the complex.
The seamless integration of Alspec’s products have played their part in delivering an exciting new destination where Newmarket’s residents can now sit back, relax and enjoy the latest in cinema entertainment.
