To capitalise on panoramic coastal and ocean views while ensuring all-weather performance, a new home at Manly has teamed Alspec’s superior window and door framing products with durable locking solutions from specialist Halliday + Baillie. Overlooking the picturesque Fairy Bower Beach, the three storey home has combined Alspec’s ProGlide High Performance Sliding Doors, ProTilt High Performance Awing/Casement Windows and View-Max Commercial Sliding Windows with superior locking products from Alspec’s new product partner, Halliday + Baillie.

Designed and manufactured in New Zealand, Halliday + Baillie Key Lock Sliding Systems have developed a reputation for longevity and all-weather performance based on their 20+ years of production and testing in the extremes of the local environment. With slimline proportions, the Halliday + Baillie system is the perfect match for the ProGlide Commercial Sliding Doors.  The lock system’s flush finish gives the locking mechanism a discreet appearance, while the high quality componentry ensures durability and performance. Partnered with the flush sills of the ProGlide sliding doors and the corner-stacking configuration, the combination gives the home a truly seamless interface between the indoor and outdoor areas, as well as a visually appealing finish.

Halliday + Baillie locks utilise precast zinc, brass and stainless steel componentry and customers can select from five standard finishes or with the option to customise in some cases. For this project, the doors and windows were powder coated in Vivica Charcoal Pearl, which proved an excellent match to the Electro Black Ace finish of the Halliday + Baillie locks.

Elsewhere in the home window glazing solutions were selected from Alspec’s ProTilt and View Max ranges. Both the awning and sliding window products respectively feature superior weather performance qualities stemming from their overlapping internal and external seals construction. Each can accommodate a range of glass options and thicknesses which ensure enhanced thermal and acoustic performance in all applications.

By teaming Alspec and Halliday + Baillie high performance products, the new owners can enjoy their oceanic outlook, comfortable in the knowledge the products they have selected will endure high use and any extremes of the environment in the long term, keeping them safe and secure.
