With sharp lines delivering a visually pleasing symmetry, a new development called CubeOne is turning heads in the commercial precinct of Narre Warren in Victoria. The striking multi-faceted appearance of the cube-shaped office building has been achieved with the inclusion of distinctive Alspec window framing solutions.

The key Alspec product used to intensify the building’s visual profile was Hunter Evo 150 framing. With sharp, unbroken lines, Hunter Evo framing is perfect for faceted facades as the flush glazed appearance emphasises the building’s signature cuboid shape. The framing was used in both single and double glazed options, with double glazing selected where acoustic concerns were paramount. As well as reducing the impact of external noise, the double glazing will also contribute to the long-term energy efficiency of the building. Easy to fabricate and install, the Hunter Evo framing performs well in all weather conditions thanks to self-draining sub sills and interfaces seamlessly with Alspec’s extensive product range.

Another feature of this development was the incorporation of Alspec’s slab edge sub framing products. The adaptable framing range provides sub heads and sub sills to suit the requirements of the building. Sub sills act as base for framing and deliver excellent weathering properties while sub heads ensure easy window installation in demanding environments.

To complement the framing products, Swan Evo Double Glazed Hinged Doors were used for the building’s key access points. With a strong sash and a custom designed clamping spigot, the Swan Evo doors are ideal to withstand the heavy use anticipated in this commercial environment. Key features include centre pocket glazing, the ability to accommodate double glazing up to 28mm, and the flexibility to be installed in hinged, pivoted or sliding configurations as required.

With five levels of architecturally designed flexible office spaces, modern end of trip facilities and an onsite restaurant, CubeOne is set to attract a range of businesses keen to locate themselves in a prestige building in the rapidly growing business precinct of Narre Warren.
