Stratum, Sanctuary Cove, QLD

Embracing views of manicured fairways, this luxurious mansion in Sanctuary Cove combines soaring ceilings with extensive walls of glazed sliding doors to deliver indoor-outdoor living beyond compare.

Behind this minimalist façade of timber and stone hides a light-filled luxury home boasting enviable indoor-outdoor living spaces. Opening to manicured vistas of a world-class golf course on one side, and a private enclosed tree-lined courtyard on the other, this newly built Sanctuary Cove home has used Alspec glazing solutions to make the outdoors an integral part of daily living.

On entering the home through a generously proportioned pivoting Swan Evo Commercial Door, the eye is immediately drawn to the walls of glazing and double-height ceilings which enclose the main pavilion of the residence. Cladding the north and south facades of the main living area are ProGlide High Performance Sliding Doors, each configured with four sliding panels and two fixed panels. The ProGlide doors have been installed with flush, accessible sills, and have been used throughout the home to provide outdoor access for all bedroom and family living spaces.

At the home’s centre, they have also been used to frame an internal atrium, which draws light to the family room and kitchen areas, further enhancing access to natural daylight. In keeping with the high-end feel of the home, the ProGlide sliding doors feature Halliday + Ballie handle and locking systems. With their flush finish and slim proportions, the aesthetically appealing Halliday + Ballie systems also provide secure deadlocking which will keep the home well protected.

Above the sliding doors on the living area’s fairway-facing façade, a combination of fixed framing and louvres deliver abundant natural light and air to the central space. Here Hunter Evo Flush Glazed Framing has been paired with panels of automatic Breezway louvres, to span the additional height to the ceiling. Giving the appearance of a second floor when viewed from outside, this flush-finished wall of glazing with openable louvres allows the indoor environment to be controlled with natural ventilation, while forming a weathertight seal when closed. On the lower level doors and window frames have been finished in contrasting Monument Matt, while on the upper level the Pearl White finish to the framing ensures the lines of the fixed panels do not distract from the skyward views.
