This is the morning that awaits those lucky enough to visit beautiful Brunswick Heads on the north coast of NSW, and stay in one of these resort-style apartments designed to take full advantage of the stunning location.

Recognised in the 2019 Master Builders Association awards, this three-apartment development has been built on a sought-after corner block, with front row views of the popular holiday destination. Taking into account the seaside location, the potentially harsh marine environment, and the variety of glazing requirements, Alspec windows and door framing products were an obvious choice. With their durable construction from high-grade aluminium, Alspec systems have been specifically designed to cope with the extremes of the Australian environment.

On the complex’s upper level, where the penthouse apartment commands 180 degree views of the seaside surrounds, Alspec’s ProGlide high performance door system was used as the sliding window application to maximise the extraordinary view while maintaining performance and aesthetics. This system forms the basis of the north and east facing walls and the 2.4m high windows transforming the interior into one large open indoor-outdoor living space. Above the windows are a series of alternating fixed panels and glass louvres, which can be used to passively cool the room when the afternoon sea breezes arrive.

On the lower level, glazing also dominates the east-facing façade, this time with a combination of ProGlide High Performance Sliding Doors and McArthur Evo Centre Pocket Framing. With their clean lines and effortless operation, the ProGlide doors are ideal for providing that easy link with the great outdoors, while the McArthur Evo framing is a secure and energy efficient product to deliver the park-facing interface.

For other connections between the indoors and outdoors, such as access to an undercover outdoor lounge area, Altitude Apartment Sliding Doors were selected. Like the ProGlide doors, the Altitude sliding doors benefit from Alspec’s proprietary roller system, which ensures enduring and easy performance.
