Alspec, a leader in architectural aluminium systems and hardware innovation, has announced that its Triser Sliding Door Mortice Lock has been selected as a finalist in the 2025 NSW AGWA Design Awards, hosted by the Australian Glass and Window Association (AGWA).
This recognition highlights Alspec’s commitment to engineering excellence and product innovation in the building and construction industry. The Triser Sliding Door Mortice Lock stands out for its low-profile design and advanced security features, including anti-lift and anti-lock mechanisms that enhance both durability and product lifespan.
Designed for compatibility with doors ranging from 33mm to 45mm in thickness, the lock features brass twin locking prongs operated by a snib within the flush handle. Notably, the key cylinder does not drive the lock bolt directly, but instead deadbolts the mechanism after the snib has been thrown, offering an additional layer of security.
The lock’s clean, minimalist aesthetic is achieved through flush mounting tabs and concealed handle furniture, making it an ideal choice for contemporary architectural applications where both form and function are paramount.
“We’re thrilled to see the Triser Mortice Lock recognised by AGWA,” said a spokesperson from Alspec. “This nomination reflects our ongoing dedication to delivering innovative, secure, and visually refined solutions for the Australian building industry.”
Winners of the 2025 AGWA Design Awards will be announced later this year, celebrating the best in design, performance, and innovation across the fenestration and glazing sectors.
