Introduction

Asim sliding security lock
Operation:
A reliable mortice lock for sliding security doors with a stainless steel hook beak that is retracted by an outside or inside snib lever. Closing the door causes the hook beak in the lock to self-latch and engage with the catch plate automatically. Once the beak is engaged, it may be locked (or unlocked) from either side by key.
Special Features:
- Stainless steel beak and catch plate as a standard feature for superior performance.
- Interior snib lever for quick and convenient locking without the need for a key.
- Fixing screws only accessible from the inside, providing enhanced security.
- Anti-lift pin on the catch plate engages lock body to prevent the door being lifted out of its tracks.
Multipoint:
Asim Sliding Lock body may be connected to multipoint kits to provide three-point locking. These kits provide a top and a bottom bolt, each connected to the main lock body by a steel cable or rod. The remote bolts are activated whenever the door is locked by key or snib (see next page for details).
Asim hinged projection bolt security lock
Operation:
A reliable mortice lock for hinged doors having a latch bolt that is retracted by an outside or inside lever. Closing the door causes an auxiliary bolt to release the latch bolt enabling it to enter the aperture in a strike plate. Once fully extended, it may be locked (or unlocked) from either side by key.
Special Features:
- Interior snib lever for quick and convenient locking without the need for a key.
- The jemmy-resistant strike plate is designed to deform under attack to enable the strike plate to remain engaged with the bolt, even as the door is jemmied away from the door jamb.
- A notch in the latch bolt engages a profiled strike plate aperture to provide enhanced resistance to forced entry.

Closing the door causes an auxiliary bolt to release the latch bolt enabling it to enter the strike plate. Once fully extended, it may be locked (or unlocked) from either side by key.
Special Features:
- Interior snib lever for quick and convenient locking without the need to use a key.
- The jemmy-resistant strike plate is designed to deform under attack to enable the strike plate to remain engaged with the bolt, even as the door is jemmied away from the door jamb.
- A pivoting latch bolt hooks in behind a profiled strike plate to provide enhanced resistance to forced entry.
