Eco-Gard^TM is a bespoke and affordable security screen solution by Alspec – an Australian-owned, market leader for over 50 years in the design of innovative aluminium systems to the architectural, residential, commercial, industrial and home improvement markets.

The frame has been designed and tested to make it a more affordable option whilst not compromising performance, ensuring security is available to all Australians.

Eco-Gard incorporates Optimised High-Performance Stainless Steel Mesh. Exclusive to Alspec, it is a unique proprietary product offering significant cost savings without compromising performance.

The standard mesh in Eco-Gard is not ideal for coastal locations. We recommend using Alspec 316 stainless mesh for coastal locations.

Eco-Gard underwent a rigorous number of tests under the Security Testing Australian Standard AS5039-2008.

Dynamic Impact Test
This test simulates an intrusion attempt, evaluating the screen's ability to withstand forceful entry

Jemmy Test
This test simulates an intrusion attempt, where an intruder employs a lever to test the screen's resilience in preventing the opening of locking areas on the frame.

Knife Shear Test
This test assesses tensile strength by subjecting the mesh to multiple incisions with a knife.

Care and Maintenance

The Eco-GardTM Security Screen frame is the product of extensive research and development and designed to resist corrosion and rusting, but as with all external elements on the building require some maintenance to keep them looking good and performing well. Depending on how harsh the environment elements are, the maintenance period will vary. Refer to recommended maintenance table.

Your Eco-GardTM Security Screen should only ever need to be washed down with a soft bristled brush using warm water and mild detergent. Rinse well with fresh water and remove any detergent residue. Strong detergents and abrasive cleaners should never be used to clean the Eco-GardTM Security Screen as they may scratch or damage the surface finish
